Two of the last few remaining members of the Fort Worth Planesmen visited the International Aeromodeling Center (IAC) in Muncie, Indiana, in August. Bob Grove and Frank Jozwiak traveled from Oklahoma and Texas respectively to meet the AMA Foundation staff. While at Headquarters, Bob signed two new scholarships established by the club through its generous donations.

Each year, the AMA Foundation encourages clubs to share information about their events with local media. When newspapers, magazines, radio stations, and television stations cover fun-flys, fly-ins, or other gatherings, the clubs mentioned can receive a Club Recognition and Reward Grant. We wanted to share with you the positive media coverage that some of our clubs have received this year. Some of these events raise money for a good cause, while others are designed simply for a fun day of flying.

August 17, 2024, marked National Model Aviation Day! Every year, clubs nationwide celebrate their shared love for model aviation, uniting AMA members across all ages and levels of experience.
