Planesman Club Honored

Two of the last few remaining members of the Fort Worth Planesmen visited the International Aeromodeling Center (IAC) in Muncie, Indiana, in August. Bob Grove and Frank Jozwiak traveled from Oklahoma and Texas respectively to meet the AMA Foundation staff. While at Headquarters, Bob signed two new scholarships established by the club through its generous donations.

Disaster Relief for Hurricane Helene

When nature turns cruel, AMA supports its clubs.

This past week, Hurricane Helene caused major damage across the East Coast of the USA. Many areas are without power, water, or transportation. The AMA Foundation sends our thoughts to the thousands of people affected by this disaster.

Clubs Give Back to Communities Across the Country

Each year, the AMA Foundation encourages clubs to share information about their events with local media. When newspapers, magazines, radio stations, and television stations cover fun-flys, fly-ins, or other gatherings, the clubs mentioned can receive a Club Recognition and Reward Grant. We wanted to share with you the positive media coverage that some of our clubs have received this year. Some of these events raise money for a good cause, while others are designed simply for a fun day of flying.
