GivingTuesday is a worldwide day of giving that is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Since its inception in 2012, GivingTuesday has given people the opportunity to make generous gifts to causes they care about, which has culminated in billions of dollars being contributed to nonprofit organizations around the world. This year, GivingTuesday will be celebrated on December 3.
This year, we are excited to once again take part in this global day of generosity. We have set a fundraising goal of $5,000 to help support AMA's programs such as scholarships, the National Model Aviation Museum, the Flying Site Improvement Grant, the Take off And Grow Grant, building the Foundation's endowment to help secure the future of model aviation, and so much more.
To help us celebrate this day and make it as successful as possible, we are holding a virtual pet parade.
We ask you to submit photos of your favorite pets in their cutest costumes. AMA staff will review all of the photos and pick the winners. The most popular pets will receive a prize.
As a bonus, we will donate 10% of all money raised on GivingTuesday to Mango's Miracles, a local animal rescue organization.
To make an even bigger impact with your gift on this day of generosity, choose the 'Give Monthly' option when donating and join our Torchbearer program! New Torchbearers receive a special welcome kit that is only for monthly donors: a Torchbearer magnet frame, a Torchbearer ceramic campfire mug, special digital content delivered to your inbox each month, and special discount code for the AMA Web Store.
If you find yourself feeling thankful for this hobby and all of the memories and experiences it has afforded you, we encourage you to look into our different giving options and leave a gift that will Fuel Your Passion and leave a lasting legacy on model aviation.
