Are you a graduating high school senior or a currently enrolled post-secondary student looking for financial assistance to fund your educational journey? Great news! It's not too late to apply for AMA Foundation scholarships.
With a maximum award amount of $15,000 and a minimum award amount of $500, taking a few minutes to fill out an application is well worth it. Don't wait! Apply today before the applications close on February 3, 2025.
Are you eligible to apply? The eligibility requirements are as follows:
- Must have been an AMA member for 36 continuous months prior to the February 3 application deadline
- Must indicate an anticipated major or trade, as well as the colleges, universities, and/or trade schools to which you have applied
- Must agree to submit a W-9 form if awarded an AMA scholarship or award

The Cliff & Nancy Telford Scholarship
- $5,000 value
- Given annually to the individual with the best competitive record based on participation in activities within the AMA and FAI classifications
- Both graduating high school seniors and currently enrolled post-secondary students are invited to apply

The Planesmen Aerospace Engineering Degree Scholarship
- $5,000 value
- Given to an applicant graduating from high school in the year in which the award is granted or an applicant who is currently enrolled at an accredited university attending a school of engineering

The Plansemen Aircraft Technician/Maintenance Program (ATP/AMP) Scholarship
- $2,500 value
- Granted to an applicant attending an accredited ATP/AMP school. The applicant must be seeking education in ATP/AMP, Airframe and Powerplant, or Avionics Technician

The Ryan M. Sherrow Memorial Scholarship
- $500 value
- Based on the graduating high school senior's overall involvement in the hobby of model aviation
- Application open to graduating high school seniors only

The Charles H. Grant Scholarship
- $500-$8,000 value
- Awarded based on several important criteria. All facets of an applicant's background are taken into consideration. A well-rounded applicant may be more qualified than one who excels in only one aspect
- Awarded to multiple applicants annually
- Application open to graduating high school seniors only

The Basil & Dorothy Cooper Memorial Scholarship
- $500 value
- Given annually to an individual applicant
- Application open to currently enrolled post-secondary students only
All applications must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. EST on February 3, 2025. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted. Apply today to ensure that you meet the deadline!
A few important things to note:
- Test scores for SAT and/or ACT tests are required for select scholarships
- To be considered, all graduating high school seniors must provide an official transcript and a reference from a school official
