Over the past few years, many AMA members have shared some honest feedback with us: great flying events deserve great food. It hasn't always been easy to secure food trucks and vendors for events held at the International Aeromodeling Center (IAC) in Muncie, Indiana. We want you to know that we've digested your feedback and found ways to improve the experience for pilots, copilots, volunteers, and spectators alike.
During the last three years, when outside options were limited, AMA and AMA Foundation staff stepped in to help fill the gap. We set up a tent and grill and served the basics, so no one had to leave the property, miss flights, or be hungry. That effort helped, but it came with limitations, such as being confined to one location.
For the 2026 flying season, we're taking a major step forward! We now have a mobile food cart that can move from location to location, bringing meals closer to where the flying and camaraderie are happening.

The mobile food cart will soon be decorated to better represent AMA. To serve more people more efficiently, we'll stagger lunch hours. That means shorter lines, faster service, and more time enjoying what we're all here for: model aviation.
This food cart will have a rotating menu, ensuring plenty of variety throughout the flying season! We're excited for what 2026 will bring and hope your visit to the IAC will be memorable, unique, and inspire you to invite the next generation of pilots to join us.
Thank you for your feedback and your dedication to safe, fun, and forward-thinking model aviation. We can't wait to see you at the field!
