At the request of AMA President Rich Hanson, District III Associate Vice President Mark Feist is leading a membership growth initiative. Working closely with AMA Interim Executive Director Tyler Dobbs and members of the Executive Council, a team has been formed to execute a new AMA Growth and Retention Plan. For more information on this initiative, read this AMA blog post.
The team is developing several resources, one of which is a new AMA Club Tool Kit! This great resource is designed to support clubs in their operations, outreach efforts, and promotion of the hobby and sport of model aviation.
With various links provided in categories such as Chartered Clubs & Flying Sites, Model Aviation Community, Safety, Education, Insurance, Government Advocacy, Events & Competition, and Philanthropy & History, there is bountiful information for clubs and club members to take advantage of.
Topics include, but are not limited to, information on the following:
- How to file an AMA insurance claim

- How to organize an open house for general public engagement
- Model Aviation Student Clubs
- Special Interest Groups
- How to become a contest director or event manager
- Club renewals

Not only does the AMA Club Tool Kit provide clubs and club members with great information, but it also provides various resources to take direct advantage of. Some of these resources include a handful of brochures and flyers that you can download to print and/or share digitally!
