As we reflect on all the freedoms that we have today, the AMA Foundation team is thankful for those who have served in the armed forces. A handful of our nation's veterans work at AMA Headquarters in Muncie, Indiana. In fact, there are two in the Education department alone.
One of those veterans is AMA Education Support Specialist Ashton Lewis. Ashton is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He served as an aviation ordnance man for two years while stationed in Beaufort, South Carolina.
On Monday, November 11, 2024, we hope you make time to thank a veteran in your life. Veterans Day is about honoring those who have bravely and selflessly served our country. Through every conflict, veterans have stood and fought to protect the US. AMA and the AMA Foundation would like to thank all of our veterans for their service, sacrifices, and patriotism.
This month, consider honoring a veteran in your life with a Walk of Fame engraved brick. Throughout the month of November, we are offering a 10% discount for all bricks purchased. You can purchase bricks online using promo code VETBRICK at checkout. All proceeds from the sale of bricks benefit the AMA Foundation, a supporting charity of the AMA that fundraises for model aviation Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education, AMA chartered clubs, the National Model Aviation Museum, and much more. This discount code expires December 2.
When you honor a veteran or loved one with an engraved brick, you preserve his or her legacy and enable us to share, teach, and uphold the joy of flight. If you would like to share yours or a loved ones biography with us to include on your/their brick page, you can fill out our form. We would love to learn more about you and/or your loved one!
