The Academy of Model Aeronautics Foundation is excited to host the second annual Warrior Day at the International Aeromodeling Center (IAC) on October 7th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The foundation will partner again with Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) as well as open the event to all local veterans.
The inaugural event, held in October of 2016, was a huge success as WWP alumni and their families spent the day at the IAC learning about all things aviation. Just like last year's event, the day will be full of aviation-themed activities including buddy boxing, flight simulators, make and takes, tours of the National Model Aviation Museum, and an air show. An alumni with Wounded Warrior Project will speak during the provided lunch. All activities will be offered at no cost, but all planning to attend must preregister.
