TJ recently graduated with honors and distinction from Lakeside High School in Atlanta, and will attend Berry College, a private liberal arts institution in Mount Berry, Georgia, in the fall. An avid photographer, he has been a finalist in the Best of College and High School Photography Competition from Photographers Forum magazine for two years. His real passion, however, is flying RC airplanes. A member of the Stone Mountain RC Flyers since August of 2010, TJ has been involved in all aspects of the club, including event competitions and support, and working with others to troubleshoot airplane challenges. He enjoys mentoring newcomers to the hobby and has been a pilot instructor since he was 15 years old. AMA is a family affair for TJ, as his father, Tom, is also heavily involved in club activities. TJ is deeply honored to be the recipient of Charles Hampson Grant and Weak Signals scholarships from the AMA. He will be carrying his love of modeling to Berry College with him.
