On July 12, 2025, Executive Director Steve Haston joined other AMA staff members at the 7th Annual Aviation Community Day in Indianapolis, Indiana, held by Purdue Polytechnic at the Indianapolis International Airport's Aviation Technology Center. A free event open to the public, Aviation Community Day allows attendees of all ages to be exposed to education and outreach related to the aviation industry.
Each year, this event features full-scale aircraft displays, facility tours, meet-and-greets with aviation professionals, and aviation-related activities and presentations—all in addition to the AMA Model Aviation Experience Sponsored by Wing flight simulator trailer!

While there, Steve was surrounded by industry leaders, educators, and aviation enthusiasts. Steve stated that "the event was an inspiring example of how aviation—full-scale and model—can come together to shape the future."
Steve continued, stating the following: "Throughout the day, I had the pleasure of meeting with several like-minded companies and organizations, many of whom share our passion for STEM education, innovation, and aviation outreach. These conversations sparked ideas and laid the groundwork for exciting future collaborations that will elevate the AMA Foundation's mission and reach even more young minds."

Steve further stated that "one of the highlights of the day was seeing dozens of youths and adults explore the AMA Model Aviation Experience Sponsored by Wing trailer." He continued, stating that "the power of AMA's interactive exhibit introduced new faces to the thrill of flight. Watching eyes light up as they engaged with the simulators was a clear reminder of the power that aviation has to inspire and the unique role that AMA plays in that journey."
