Arnold Simmons was anonymously nominated. His nominator shared the following sentiment about Arnold and his support:
"Every successful organization has individuals who form its foundation. People who can always be counted on, who willingly give their time and talents, and who ask for nothing in return.
For the Southeast Missouri Modelers Association, that person is Arnold Simmons.
Arnold has been the bedrock of our club for nearly three decades. He is the first to volunteer when a project needs to be completed and the first to step forward when a club function needs support. Whether mowing our flying field, maintaining the mower, or simply doing whatever needs to be done, Arnold is always there.
His commitment to SEMMA extends far beyond the countless hours he has volunteered. Arnold served as our club president for eight years, providing leadership, stability, and a steadfast dedication to the success of our organization.
What makes Arnold exceptional isn't simply the work he does. It's the attitude with which he does it. He sees a need and takes care of it. He doesn't seek recognition or expect praise. He does these things because he cares deeply about our club and the people who belong to it.
Clubs like ours don't thrive simply because of good facilities, equipment, or leadership. They thrive because of people like Arnold, whose dedication and generosity set an example for everyone.
Arnold, you have given nearly 30 years of service, leadership, and friendship to SEMMA. Your contributions have helped make this club what it is today.
It is both our privilege and our honor to recognize you as the recipient of the Copilot's Award."
