I am 67 years old and graduated high school in 1976. I worked as a welder for 20-odd years, transitioned to ASME Code Quality Control, and then was hired by an authorized inspection agency providing code inspection services to non-nuclear and nuclear fabricators and power plant operators. I recently retired after 13 years as the resident ASME Section XI Code inspector at Farley Nuclear Power Plant near Dothan, Alabama.
I am fortunate to have been married to my wife going on 40 years. I have two children and two grandchildren. I have been building and flying model aircraft on and off since I was 12. I flew with the Seminole RC Club of Tallahassee, Florida, back in the nineties, and then had a 30-year hiatus away from the hobby. My how things have changed. I started again about two years ago and now fly with the Wiregrass RC Club near Dothan, Alabama. I love building balsa kits almost as much as flying them. I do have a few foamies, but as they say, "Balsa flies better!"
