When I was 12 years old (1971), my father (RIP) took me and my younger brother to Jacob Riis Park in Rockaway, New York. At that time, the Pennsylvania Avenue Radio Control Society (P.A.R.C.S.) was using the beach parking lot as a runway. I saw a beautiful, incredibly detailed P 51 Mustang waiting to fly. I was hooked. I said, then, that I would get into this hobby.
I enrolled in the AMA in 1980. I eventually joined P.A.R.C.S. and learned how to fly. The club had moved to Floyd Bennet Field, in Brooklyn, New York ... we flew off of real runways. I love the hobby. I am a member of the Mercer County Radio Control Society in New Jersey. I am a Registered Representative/Agent with New York Life Insurance Company since 1990. Currently, I have 27 RC aircraft. I try to fly whenever I have some free time.
