My journey into the world of RC aviation began a few Christmases ago when my son Charlie received his first RC plane. What started as a simple gift quickly turned into a shared passion. Watching his love for aviation take off was inspiring—and a year later, I received my own RC plane for my birthday so we could truly enjoy the hobby together.
Since then, we've built and flown countless planes, attended events like EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, and even had the opportunity to take to the skies in a Cirrus SR22. The hobby has become a meaningful way for Charlie and me to bond, learn, and grow together—both in the air and on the ground.
Today, I’m proud to serve as the Vice President of our local RC club, the Chain of Lakes Eagles. Being part of this community has deepened our involvement in aviation, and I feel incredibly fortunate to share this journey with my son and fellow enthusiasts.
