I grew up flying with my dad in a 46 Luscombe. After it was sold, I didn't get back to flying until I was 22 and working for Occidental Engineering. I soon got my private pilot license in '77, and then subsequently quit my engineering job and went to Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where I earned my Com/inst, MEL, and CFII/SMEI.
Afterwards, I worked as a CFI for a bit, and then I got my first corporate flying job. I spent my entire career mostly in the corporate world, as well as some entertainment and military contract flying. I hold an ATP with 8 type ratings, commercial helicopter, and a private glider rating. I retired in July 2023 from my last job while flying a Gulfstream G4. I'm currently still flying my 1946 Cessna 140!
