I'm 60 and have always been fascinated with RC airplanes. Finally, at 57 years old, I joined a club and started flying. Less than a year after learning to fly, I was diagnosed with throat and lung cancer. I haven't flown in a while because of surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, but I look forward to getting back into it this coming summer.
My other interests are dirt bikes. I have two dirt bikes and love to ride and work on them. I have my basement fixed up like a small motorcycle shop with a bench dedicated to my model planes. I fly foam planes, which are a lot of fun, but I would like to tackle a balsa kit again. I built a Sig Cadet in the 80s, which I sold and never flew because my career as a long-haul truck driver didn't permit me much time for hobbies.
