As a small child in the middle '40s, I spent many hours trying to build & fly homemade model airplanes. In the early '60s, I finally started flying U-Control and graduated to single-channel R/C. In 1969, I managed to trade 5 acres close to town for 20 acres in the country and told the LARKS fliers to pick their spot to set up a radio control flying site, which they did in 1971. That is the current home to the LARKS in Sulphur, Louisiana, where we have hosted the Nats four times. In 1979, I donated the property to the LARKS, which is known as Bo Hinch Model Airpark and/or the LARKS flying site.

If you would like to know more about me, go to Amazon and type "Bo Hunch" into the search engine. You will find a book that I wrote in 2021 about the story of my life. Its name is My Dreams as a Small Child, and it will tell you pretty much my life history and my LOVE of airplanes. You can also go to www.larksrc.org to read the full history of the LARKS in southwest Louisiana.
