Thomas Holcomb

Thomas Holcomb is a native from Atlanta, Georgia. He has been flying model aircrafts for about five years with his dad. They enjoy flying fixed-wing aircrafts and most of their fleet is foam, however, they have built a few balsa airplanes.  Thomas' grandfather also flew RC aircrafts and he gaveThomas a few of his old ones before passing away.  They needed a good bit of repair but he his happy to say that they are flying again!  Thomas is also proud to say that he has been working on his private pilot's license. Currently, he has about 35 hours and he hopes to pass the FAA exam in mid-June. In the fall he will head off to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Ultimately, Thomas hopes to earn a masters degree in Aerospace Engineering to contribute to the field of aviation. Thomas says he doesn't know much RC flying he will be able to do while at school, but wants the model flying community to know the model aircraft hobby will stick with him for the rest of his life.
