Nicholas Garrett

Nicholas Garrett is the son of Michael and Barbara Garrett. He is a recent graduate of Seneca Valley High School where he earned high honors and distinction. His grandfather introduced him to flying model airplanes when he was 10 years old and he has been hooked ever since. Nicholas has been a member of AMA since 2012. He has flown a T-28, nitroplanes Neptune, a Micro Habu, and several other micro models along with a thunder tiger trainer nitro model with a .48 gas motor in it. Nicholas loves working on each plane, which led him to build from scratch a 600mm series quadcopter with many advanced features, such as GPS tracking and return-to-home features, for a science fair project and for pure enjoyment. In school, Nicholas’ favorite classes were physics and calculus, which he will use as he studies aerospace engineering at Ohio Northern University. When not on the flying field, his other hobbies include playing trombone, working on a competition battle bot for the robotics club, playing volleyball, and working on his 2000 Jeep Wrangler.
