Linda Markham

Linda has been flying RC planes since 2012 with her whole family. She was exposed to the AMA in 2014 at SEFF, and since then has been a regular at SEFF and HHAEFI in RC Combat Competitions. Her combat plane made it through 4 seasons and still flies, though it’s more glue than foam now. Linda’s main interest was in aerobatic planes and she even got to fly in a real one, Extra 300L, in an Aerobatic demo ride where she piloted the plane through a loop and roll herself. She’s earned many achievements in other areas as well, including Mt. Zion High School Honor Graduate, Carroll County Scholars program, Beta Club, FBLA President, and National Honor Society. Linda’s goals are to go to college at Point University and become a veterinarian and to open a no kill shelter. Yes, she knows how hard this will be, but she looks back at how hard it seemed to do a flat spin in an RC plane. This gives her confidence to succeed in whatever she tries.
