Kyle Albrecht, 17, of Hartland, Michigan, enjoys flying his RC planes around the lake. When he was very young, he learned to fly with his grandfather, Jack Oglesbee, and spent hours on the flight simulator. His interest in all things RC led him to FIRST Robotics. He spent 6 years in robotics, ultimately becoming Team 3536’s Drive Coach and Captain, and competing in the last two FIRST World Championships. During his senior year, Kyle’s true love for flight inspired him to successfully complete his flight training and become a licensed private pilot in April. He will be attending Western Michigan University in the fall to study Aviation Flight Science in the College of Aviation. Kyle’s goal is to become a commercial airline pilot.
