Jacob is from West Richland, WA. He started flying RC airplanes at the age of 6 and has flown in flying event every year since 2009. At the age of 11 he flew a PAU Edge 50cc giant scale plane. Since 2014 he has flown a 100cc Worlds Model club for the noon demo at the Big Bird Flying Event in Zillah, WA and other events. He won third place in a local IMAC competition and has built over 80 airplanes without any assistance including many built from scratch models. Because of his experience belonging to AMA sponsored clubs since the age of 9, he has developed a devotion towards community groups, STEM, and the RC hobby. As a result he has looked for opportunities to allow others to experience the same benefits. His eleven years of experience in aeromodeling has strengthened his relationships with his father and brothers and has been the reason why he has chosen pursue Mechatronic Engineering at Utah Valley University in the fall.
