The Academy of Model Aeronautics Foundation is excited to host the third annual Warrior Day at the International Aeromodeling Center (IAC) on September 1, 2018 from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. The foundation is working with the Indiana Warbird Campaign to provide our veterans and their families with a fun day learning about model aviation. This event is open to all local veterans. This is a first-come, first-serve opportunity for up to 100 people, including family members.
The inaugural event, held in October of 2016, was a huge success as WWP alumni and their families spent the day at the IAC learning about all things aviation. This year's event will be full of aviation-themed activities including buddy boxing, flight simulators, make and takes, tours of the National Model Aviation Museum, and an air show. All activities will be offered at no cost, but all planning to attend must preregister.
