The AMA Education team, AMA’s Contest Director, and the AMA Foundation were given an opportunity to support police and fire agencies at their recent skills day, held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center.

Aviation Adventure Day 2018
Come celebrate National Model Aviation Day at the International Aeromodeling Center. The AMA Foundation will be hosting Aviation Adventure Day on Aug. 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free for a full day of aviation fun. Kids 8-17 can sign up for youth airplane rides provided by EAA Young Eagles. The kids can also try flying a model airplane. Everyone is welcome to make kites, airplanes and rockets. Indianapolis R/C Modelers to host Toys for Tots event
The Indianapolis R/C Modelers will host the Gene Brooks Memorial RC Fly-in on Saturday, Aug. 26. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This will be a Toys for Tots event. Registration will start at 9 a.m. at Blue River Airpark, 1 mile west of Morristown, IN. The admission cost is 1 new toy or $10. All the toys that are received will be going to the Marine Corp. AMA Foundation for the Future Jet Rally
Jet Rally held in conjunction with annual “Fly Iowa” event hosted by the city of Ottumwa, IA. Rally will be held at the Ottumwa Regional Airport on a 100’ x 3500’ run-way, closed to full-scale aircraft for the weekend.
