Thanks to our donors, the AMA National Fun-Fly was a great success for the AMA Foundation. The event took place June 23-25 at the International Aeromodeling Center (IAC) in Muncie, Indiana.
Throughout the event, the AMA Foundation had a hospitality tent with free snacks and beverages for the pilots at Site 3. These were purchased with a gift card donated by Meijer grocery store. There also was a large pilot giveaway and hundreds of tickets were sold. The largest prizes were handed out shortly before the AMA Membership Meeting on June 24.
There also was an invitation-only donor luncheon at noon on June 24 for all major donors and for the vendors who donated prizes for the pilot giveaway. This took place in the Claude McCullough Education Center. Thank you to Texas Roadhouse for donating iced tea and lemonade for the luncheon and for Merrill Lynch for sponsoring the luncheon.
Ralph Warner and his club members donated several items for the swap shop. All proceeds from those sales went to the AMA Foundation. In all, approximately $3,000 for the AMA Foundation!
